  • The actors are promoting the fifth and final season of the hit Netflix series, presenting a united front.

Millie Bobby Brown is directly addressing the on-set atmosphere of Stranger Things following recent reports of conflict with her co-star, David Harbour. In a new interview, Brown confirmed that she felt completely secure working alongside the actor who plays her adoptive father on the show.

This statement comes weeks after the Daily Mail reported that Brown, 21, had filed a formal bullying and harassment complaint against Harbour, 50, prior to filming the show’s final season.

Brown on Her On-Set Bond with Harbour

Speaking with Deadline, Brown dismissed any notion of feeling unsafe. “Of course I felt safe. I mean, we’ve worked together for 10 years,” she stated in a clip shared to TikTok. “I feel safe with everyone on that set. You naturally just, you know … you’ve been doing it for so long.”

Brown explained that the intense, familial relationship between their characters, Eleven and Jim Hopper, has naturally translated into a strong off-screen connection. “We also play father and daughter, so naturally you have a closer bond,” she explained, adding that they have shared “some really intense scenes together.”

The initial report from the Daily Mail alleged that an investigation “went on for months” following Brown’s complaint. However, representatives for Brown, Harbour, and Netflix have not publicly commented on the specifics of the report.

At the Season 5 premiere, co-creator Ross Duffer also navigated the topic carefully. While telling The Hollywood Reporter he couldn’t discuss “personal on-set matters,” he reinforced the cast’s connection. “I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family, and we deeply care about them,” Duffer said. “Nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.”

A United Front for the Final Chapter

Despite the swirling rumors, both stars have presented a positive and united front while promoting the show’s highly anticipated conclusion. At the premiere, Brown told Entertainment Tonight she has “a really special bond” with Harbour. Harbour echoed the sentiment, simply stating, “I adore her.”

Brown told Deadline she is excited for audiences to see the culmination of their characters’ journey. “David and I have a great relationship,” she said. “I really am excited for everyone to see the labor of love, and hard work we put into the closure of our relationship, and what that looks like.”
