Fans of the gritty Paramount+ drama can finally mark their calendars. Mayor of Kingstown, the acclaimed series from co-creators Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, is set to unleash its explosive fourth season on October 26. Jeremy Renner returns as the embattled Mike McLusky, a man struggling to maintain order in a town where the only thriving business is incarceration.
A City on the Brink of Detonation
The stakes have never been higher. Following the power vacuum left in the wake of the Russians’ departure, Kingstown is a powder keg waiting for a spark. The official season description teases that Mike’s control is threatened by new players vying for power, forcing him to confront a violent gang war that could consume the town.
Co-creator Hugh Dillon, who also stars as Detective Ian Ferguson, gave a chilling preview to Entertainment Weekly. “It’s a detonation, not an escalation,” Dillon stated. “The blade’s sharper. The cuts go deeper. It’s about the intricacies of human emotion under pressure, and the choices we make when we have no good choices left. It’s an incendiary season 4.”
New Faces, New Problems
Adding to the chaos are formidable new characters. Acclaimed actress Edie Falco joins the cast as a headstrong new prison warden who will undoubtedly clash with Mike’s methods. Her arrival promises to create significant hurdles for Mike as he tries to protect his own.
“Edie Falco, I think, is a really great highlight,” Renner told Good Morning America. “She creates a lot of problems for me to get to try to protect my brother, who’s a cop who goes to prison. So there’s a lot of tension that goes on between us two.”

The fourth season will follow the weekly release format of its predecessors, with 10 episodes dropping every Sunday at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET on Paramount+, where the first three seasons are also available to stream.
