The Indian government has banned 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok. After this, Chinese companies are appealing to the government that they did not share the data of Indian users with the Chinese government. Kevin Meyer, CEO of TikTok, wrote a letter to the Indian government, saying that the Chinese government had never asked for data on Indian users.
Ban on TikTok already in China
