The LG Rollable Phone is not the only device with a rollable screen that we can expect. TCL has just unveiled a concept showing a double-fold design. It’s a smartphone that transforms into a sizable tablet when unfolded or opened. We assume this uses the TCL roll-up screen that was previously announced at CES 2021. There’s also a special slide-out device featuring a roll-up screen coming from the side. These are just experiments and there are around three dozen samples in progress.
New images of a TCL brand foldable roll-up phone tablet have surfaced online. They give us an idea about the future look of the device if TCL decides to bring it into production.
The hybrid phone tablet in the picture uses a roll-up screen and the TCL DragonHinge. The two systems can possibly offer a bigger tablet experience for everyone. Compared to the previous designs which are thick and chunky, this one looks slimmer.
We really have no idea if and when TCL will turn these concepts into reality. We can only hope, but any OEM around the world has to be smart, especially these days. The launch of a roll-up phone sounds innovative and exciting, but the question will always be about its marketability.
The TCL foldable roll-up hybrid phone tablet it’s a good concept. It is not the only one from TCL and we believe more will be featured. TCL is said to hold a big event in April 2021.
This TCL foldable roll-up phone can be expensive, obviously. TCL only offers affordable Android phones. This roll-up phone can be expensive, but hopefully TCL won’t give you a similar price to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, which is $ 1,800. That’s already lower compared to the $ 2,000 price tag of the original version. The TCL phone concept combines a roll-up and foldable system, so it can be even more expensive.
It is also said that TCL will develop more similar phones this 2021. They could be more affordable with better specs and perhaps more affordable. Let’s wait and see.
