Samsung has been working on several new devices. Some will be presented before the end of 2020, while several will be announced next year. We started talking about the Galaxy S21 series. There is not much about the Galaxy Note 21 yet. We heard about a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Lite, as well as the Galaxy XCover 5. There is also the Galaxy Z Fold 3 that we expect to be announced in the second half of 2021. Of course, it will be better than the Galaxy Z Fold 2 which is already an improved version of the original folding phone.
The Under Display Camera technology is not even implemented in any of your smartphones, but Samsung he plans to apply it in his folding phone offering. This tells us that the South Korean tech giant relies on its UDC technology.
Samsung has not made any confirmation, but we believe it has been working in the under-display camera like other OEMs like LG, OPPO, and ZTE. Xiaomi’s third-generation under-display camera technology is ready. Huawei has also started work on a smartphone with an under-screen camera. As for Samsung, its UDC system is in the works. Samsung Display is said to be working on a display for UDC while Samsung Electronics System’s LSI group is developing an image sensor.
UDC on the Galaxy Fold 3 may be available in Q3 2021. That’s something to look forward to, but first we’ll have to see how Samsung’s UDC will fare on the Galaxy S21. If its implementation is successful, we can expect other Samsung phones to use the same as well.
Until now, there is only the ZTE Axon 20 5G as the first in the world with an under-screen camera. OPPO has a prototype in secret. A Realme executive has also teased a mysterious under-display camera phone. Let’s wait and see Samsung launch theirs.
