Samsung Galaxy Labs adds two new modules

Samsung Galaxy Labs

Not many people may remember this, but about two years ago Samsung introduced Galaxy Labs. It is a mobile application that works like Good Lock that contains several different modules. Modules can be downloaded to perform different tasks and functions. Some examples include App Booster, Battery Guardian, Battery Tracker, File Guardian, and Memory Guardian, among others. There is also the Thermal Guardian which helps devices stay cool. The South Korean tech giant is introducing two more modules to make things better for consumers.

To review, App enhancer offers app optimization, while Battery Guardian watches for mobile apps that can drain your battery. Samsung has updated some other features for users.

Battery tracker now displays a 7 day chart so you can see your screen time on for a week. It is similar to the 24 hour chart. Battery Guardian It also offers screen power saving that dims the screen when the device is not in use.

Performance can also be restricted, especially during bedtime. The idea is to limit CPU usage and background activity so the battery lasts longer. File Keeper It’s not that useful anymore because Samsung apps now come with a recycle bin.

One of the newer modules is Memory keeper. It shows you how RAM is used (system / running applications / cached processes) and by which applications or programs described. Check your usage history and clear apps from memory.

Thermal Guardian keeps the device cool. It has a thermal threshold slider that allows the user to adjust when the phone actually starts to throttle performance.

Galaxy Labs has many similarities to Good Lock, but it offers unique features and more. Expect more updates to be introduced in the future.
