Reddit Talk in the works, set to rival Clubhouse

Reddit talk

If you’ve enjoyed Clubhouse and love Reddit at the same time, you’ll be happy to hear about Reddit Talk. It’s a potential Clubhouse rival to the folks behind Reddit. It looks like Clubhouse is THE social app to beat right now, as Facebook is reportedly working on a Clubhouse-like product as well. Reddit Talk is not final or official yet, but it is under development and testing. A thread on reddit has introduced Reddit Talk and has given a sneak peek.

Reddit talk is a new place where you can host live audio conversations for your communities, just like Clubhouse. It’s where you can go and join in on the fun with a live audio chat. You might say it’s like walking into a Zoom meeting where everyone can speak, but it’s more than that.

This new feature can complement all the social media apps and communities you frequent. It’s like a live hangout, only you are online. It’s something we need these days when most of us are encouraged to stay home.

The Advance on Reddit he tells us how Reddit Talk works. It shows us how to start a chat that you can see within the communities. Only a moderator can start a chat. You can join a chat when it’s live.

Just join the room and listen. You can react using emojis or speak. But first you must “raise your hand.”

Moderators or hosts can invite, mute, or remove speakers during a conversation. They can invite speakers to be co-hosts. Talks can also be customized for communities. If you want to try Reddit Talk, you can sign up for the waitlist HERE.
