OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will receive another update. A couple of weeks ago, OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 1 was released. Over the weekend, OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 2 is ready. Note that the open beta is based on Android 11, so this means that more OnePlus phones are getting the latest version of Android. As with most beta versions, this one is not stable yet. There will be bugs and problems, so feel free to report them if you find them. OnePlus will be happy to fix them before the stable version is released.
Make sure to back up your phone before continuing with the download. Make sure you understand the instructions before beginning the installation. OnePlus shares the Change Log and includes a number of enhancements to the entire system, camera, and ambient display.
You will notice the optimized sliding effect of the dynamic wallpaper. Power consumption has been improved in some scenarios. Automatic brightness intensity adjustment has also been optimized for a smoother user experience.
Fixed several issues, including “Tips & Support” not showing in Settings. Now the battery icon is displayed that does not appear in the status bar. The adapter does not charge and use the headphones has been fixed.
There is a flashback probability issue on the camera that occurs when unlocking in pro mode. That problem has now been fixed. The always-on ambient display feature is now supported, at least, on the OnePlus 7 Pro variant as well. Check Settings> Utilities> OnePlus Lab> Always-on ambient display. Just keep in mind that enabling this feature can increase power consumption. It will be optimized in future versions, so this issue is only temporary.
