Nintendo Will Shut Down Dr. Mario World Before November 1 - Light Home News

If you’ve enjoyed playing the Dr. Mario World mobile game, now you only have a few months to play. Nintendo announced that they will be closing the game on November 1, 2021 and no explanation has been given for this decision. Also, you won’t be able to play the game at all by that date, so you should make the most of the time you have left with Dr. Mario and his cohorts. Players can no longer buy diamonds now, so you will have to play without additional tools.

Dr. Mario World came to the mobile gaming world a couple of years ago and is based on the NES and Game Boy titles that some of you may have played back in the day. But it appears that it was not as popular as expected, hence Nintendo’s decision to shut down the game before November 1, 2021. This was announced on Twitter and in the Dr. Mario World website although there was really no explanation other than thanking everyone who has played the game since 2019.

Some apps or games that are discontinued can still be used even after their end date, albeit without support or updates. But Dr. Mario World will not be playable on November 1. Users who try to log into the application will see an end of service notification and will not be able to do anything. Nintendo will launch a website called Dr. Mario World Memories that will allow players to look back at their gaming history. The site will be activated after the end date of the game.

At this time, players will no longer be able to buy diamonds. This means that you will have to play Dr. Mario World for the next three months without its main currency. So if you run out of lives or something like that, you will have to wait until the game updates. They will probably lose some players that way, but that’s not a concern as it will eventually go away. There will still be those who will probably keep playing for the old days.

There are still some Mario mobile games, as Dr. Mario World is only the second to be discontinued (Mitomo was the first). And with the sheer number of games to choose from, this is most likely just a problem that will eventually be forgotten.
