New Pixel phones are expected to be unveiled later this year. There is the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 XL. We used to call the premium smartphone Pixel 6 Pro, but it looks like Google is sticking to the XL moniker. This is the fifth year that the tech giant has released the Pixel series of phones. Every year, Google introduces new technology. For this year, it will be the Google Tensor. It’s only one, but we can expect more information to be revealed in the coming days.

Google Tensor is the company’s own system on a chip (SoC). We said the Pixel 6 and Pixel 5a could use Google’s “Whitechapel” chip. It could be that.

With the new technological platform specially designed for mobile, Google tensor will power the new Pixel 6. The new Google phones will be released later this fall. Based on Google’s announcement, the SoC will work on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

It is therefore final. The Pixel 6 will be joined by the Pixel 6 Pro and not the Pixel 6 XL. Google even shared rendered images of upcoming Android smartphones. No information on specs, pricing, features, and availability has been shared but, at least, we already know the design is similar to what we’ve seen in recent months.

The Google preview shows us an industrial design. The phones will be powered by the new Tensor SoC. The new silicon can be customized to run the company’s computer photography models. It works well with the Titan M2 for a more powerful and secure phone.

The phones will definitely run on Android 12 with the Material You design language. Expect a new UI experience with the new design framework and animation.

The company describes the Pixel as “better” –“Everything is better in the use of the Pixel”. The rear camera system will be upgraded with new and improved sensors and lenses. The new form of the camera module – the camera bar – houses the new camera system.

Google is also set to present the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with new materials and finishes. The Pixel 6 will have a matte aluminum finish. The Pixel 6 Pro will feature a lightweight polished aluminum frame.
