Markieff Morris has tweeted that he will return to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Morris, 31, gave the Lakers a solid stretch 4 to space the court and complement superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis. At 6 feet 8 inches and 245 pounds, he can play both forward positions and is 34.5% from 3-point shots in his career; he was even better last season, shooting 38.6% from beyond the arc.

Morris performed especially well in the postseason, 29 of 69 (42%) from 3-point range for the NBA champions.

Morris joined the Lakers in February after negotiating a purchase with the Detroit Pistons, for whom he played the first 44 games of the season. After erasing the exemptions, Morris signed with the Lakers through the $ 1.75 million disabled player exception granted to them for the injured DeMarcus Cousins ​​earlier in the season.

Morris, a Kansas product who was the 13th pick in the 2011 draft, has career averages of 11.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
