Greene’s Fiery Reaction to “SNL” Monologue
A playful joke on “Saturday Night Live” has ignited a political firestorm. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is now demanding a new law be passed before global superstar Bad Bunny takes the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show in February.
The controversy stems from Bad Bunny’s opening monologue on “SNL,” where he spoke a few lines in Spanish and quipped that viewers who didn’t understand had “four months until the Super Bowl to learn.”
The comment did not sit well with Greene. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), she voiced her outrage and pushed her political agenda.
“Bad Bunny says America has 4 months to learn Spanish before his perverse unwanted performance at the Super Bowl halftime,” she wrote. “It would be a good time to pass my bill to make English the official language of America.”

It would be a good time to pass my bill to make English the official language of America.
And the NFL needs to stop having demonic sexual performances…

Wider Conservative Backlash
Greene isn’t alone in her criticism. The NFL’s decision to feature one of the world’s biggest musical acts has drawn the ire of the MAGA crowd. Former race car driver Danica Patrick expressed anger over a musician who sings in Spanish performing at the event, seemingly forgetting Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s 2020 halftime show. Meanwhile, conservative pundit Tomi Lahren faced ridicule after appearing unaware that Bad Bunny, who was born in Puerto Rico, is an American citizen.
