Stapleton, Wilson set for Detroit stadium show
Country star Chris Stapleton will return to Detroit this summer, bringing his All-American Roadshow to Ford Field on Aug. 8, 2026. Promoters announced that Lainey Wilson — one of country music’s fastest-rising stars — will join Stapleton for the Detroit stadium stop.
Tickets and presale details
General tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster. Presales for Citi cardholders, Verizon customers and members of Stapleton’s fan club begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13. Fans should expect standard venue fees and high demand for the stadium date.
Support act and tour context
R&B-soul singer Allen Stone will open the Ford Field show. The Detroit appearance is one of nine stadium concerts on Stapleton’s 24-city All-American Roadshow, which includes stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa and Boston.
The full tour runs from late May through October, with stadium dates and amphitheater stops across the U.S. and Canada. Detroit’s Ford Field joins a growing slate of major 2026 stadium bookings announced for the venue, which also hosts acts like Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran this summer.
Detroit returns for both artists
Stapleton and Wilson are both familiar to Detroit audiences. Stapleton previously shared a bill with George Strait at Ford Field in July 2024 and headlined Comerica Park in July 2022. Wilson played Ford Field in April 2023, opening for Luke Combs. Their joint performance marks another high-profile country stop in the city’s live music calendar.
What to expect at the show
Fans can expect Stapleton’s signature blend of country, bluegrass and soul, highlighted by songs from his 2023 album Higher alongside career staples. Wilson is likely to bring her energetic, award-winning brand of modern country, making the pairing a strong draw for traditional and contemporary country audiences alike.
Plan ahead for parking, transit and venue policies at Ford Field; large stadium shows often sell out quickly. For tickets and official updates, visit Ticketmaster and the artists’ official websites and fan clubs.
