Wakanda Forever promo art offers a first look at another iconic Marvel character

it’s been a busy weekend Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Despite Marvel Studios not officially marketing the film, Ryan Coogler’s promo art has surfaced online. Over the holiday weekend alone, the first honest looks of both Namora (Tenoch Huerta) and Atuma have surfaced online.

Now, another piece of promotional art reveals another villain for the film — the classic Namor-supporting character Namora. Although Namora looks very close to Namora in the source material, her look has been updated for the film to resemble Attuma, a blue-skinned warrior donning Aztec-inspired clothing.

While Namora is not a villain in Marvel Comics lore, it is likely wakanda forever Will pit Wakanda against the underwater nation led by Namor.

“It’s an incredible honor to have Chadwick Boseman,” Letitia Wright said of the first feature. “It’s full of exciting things. November, it can’t come sooner so I’m excited for you guys to see it.” Wright continued, “We honored them by committing ourselves to the story we started, the legacy they started with this franchise, and we committed to working hard every day, no matter what we do. And we faced many situations. A lot of tough situations, but we came together as a team. We gave our everything in this film.”

Gurira made a similar comment in another interview. “Listen, we put our everything in this,” Gurira shared. “We hope you experience it, and the way it resonates for us. It’s a very heartwarming story and that’s all I can say. The way our director/writer handled it I’m very grateful for that.”
