Thor: Love and Thunder It’s in theaters now, and like every other Marvel movie it’s packed with some big surprises — and some new additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. a big surprise Thor 4The mid-credits scene, where a major Marvel character finally gets his long-awaited MCU debut! And now that he’s here, he’s ready to rock the world of Thor!

second act of Thor: Love and Thunder Thor watches Odinson (Chris Hemsworth) lead his team of Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and Korg (Taika Waititi) to Omnipotent City, the playground of the gods. Thor tries to make Zeus (Russell Crowe) and the other gods realize the threat of Gor the God-Butcher (Christian Bale), but Zeus is too arrogant to act, and the resulting conflict between Zeus’ army and Team Asgard In 212 AD, Thor impels Zeus with his thunderbolt – and immediately steals the thunderbolt to use against Gore.
mid-credits scene of Thor: Love and thunder reveals that Zeus is still alive (though wounded), and is making a serious complaint. Thor’s rebellion prompts Zeus to re-establish Olympus and the power of the gods in the universe – first to pay Thor with his life. Zeus taps his son Hercules to undertake the task of ousting Thor – which Hercules happily agrees to.
The role of Hercules is none other than Brett Goldstein, whom fans know and love from his role as Roy Kent, an aging football player. Goldstein is also a writer ted lassoWhich earned him a Primetime Emmy.
That said, Hercules has been waiting in the wing of the MCU for some time now. Fans thought he might appear in Eternals, but when Russell Crowe let it slip that he was cast as Zeus, fans immediately thought (know) that Hercules was showing up. And, as always, Marvel Studios has played the role perfectly.
In the comics, Marvel’s Hercules was one of the early characters that Stan Lee and Jack Kirby portrayed in their Avengers comics. He became a regular guest star of mighty thor And tales of astonish Comics from the 1960s before becoming the Avengers. Hercules worked with the Champions team of the 1970s, and the . was a guest artist of Thor And avengers comics (as well as some limited series of his own) during the 1980s and 90s. Hercules had a fun solo series throughout the 2000s and 2010s in addition to being a supporting character, and remains an enduring fan-favourite.
Now the MCU is about to give the Hercules character another level of fame.
