Superhero reveals the original name of Gohan’s new power

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Shnen fans are furious these days, and it won’t take long for the film to arrive in the United States. Crunchyroll is set to drop the film this August, and right now, special screenings are keeping the film alive in Japan. And thanks to one of those screenings, fans have learned a little more about Gohan and the original plan for his new look.

The whole thing came out on Twitter courtesy of Chronicles when they shared a look at one of the storyboards for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, It turns out that a screening in Japan shared the original program with fans, and netizens there noticed that Gohan’s new look was referred to by a different name.

According to this document, the new form of Gohan was called the last Gohan instead of the Gohan animal. However, it appears the name was changed at some point during development. This may be a temporary nickname that refers to the fact that Gohan’s power is increased in the final act of the film. But by the time the theatrical cut ended, the final Gohan was out and the Gohan Beast was in.

As you can imagine, fans are now left debating whether Dragon Ball Chose the right name for Gohan’s form. Shakti Ultimate is an evolution of Gohan, so many netizens were confused as to how Gohan Beast came about as a title. Some have already adopted Final Gohan as their favorite name, but for now, it looks like the franchise is moving forward with Gohan the Beast!
