Rob Zombie’s reboot gets first poster

Filmmaker Rob Zombie has developed a brand new take on Munsters for an upcoming film, and while they kept many elements faithful to the original TV series, one change is that they are bringing the sinister family in “living colour”, as the first poster for the upcoming film suggests. Despite this aesthetic change, fans can tell that the filmmaker is retaining the spirit of the source material, as evidenced by the campy feel of the poster below. While plot details regarding the film are being kept under wraps, the original two-season series is now underway on Peacock, described as “the story of a Transylvanian-American family of friendly demons living at 1313 Mockingbird Lane.” Thrill.”

The main cast features Jeff Daniels Phillips as Herman Munster, Sherri Moon as zombie Lily Munster, and Dan Roebuck as Grandpa “The Count” Munster.

Also starring in the film is Richard Brake (31, 3 from hell) as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang and Sylvester McCoy (doctor who) in the form of Igor, as well as Catherine Shell (doctor who), Cassandra Peterson (Elvira, The Mistress of the Dark), Jorge Garcia (Lost), and de Wallace (ET The Extra-Terrestrial, Cujo) original stars Butch Patrick and Pat Priest are also involved in the project.

Given his cinematic track record, Zombie’s involvement had some fans apprehensive about the new reboot, as he is known for adopting disturbing and disturbing narratives and scenes.
