Two nights before the engagement was announced, Fathom Events has revealed that Kevin Smith’s upcoming clerk 3 Due to high demand four more night shows have been added across the country. “I assure you, we are open! Many thanks to Lionsgate and Fathom for including a weekend of our limited run of Clerks III,” Smith said in a statement regarding the additional dates. “And a big thank you too to the fans who have already bought tickets to our Fathom screening! All of your pre-sales have made this expansion possible!” The addition of four more nights of screening for the film is not a huge surprise as the film has already set a record ticket sales for Fathom events.
Speaking during an episode of his podcast beyond fatman, Smith previously confirmed the overwhelming demand for Clerks 3 tickets, saying: “We just heard a report from them that they’ve sold more f–ing tickets than before. We’re months out from screenings, but since the trailer’s up Gone and tickets went on sale, they got a lot of pre-purchases for it.”

Speaking at his annual Hall-H panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year, Smith pulled back the curtain for attendees and confirmed that Clerks III did indeed come about because of home media sales for the Jay and Silent Bob reboot. was too much.
“Lionsgate still makes DVDs and Blu-rays and S-Ts,” Smith told the audience. “They sold DVDs and Blu-rays of the ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.’ And, apparently, sold enough to reach out to us and say, ‘We sold so many f-ing DVDs and Blu-rays that if you Anytime this J and Silent Bob want to make more bull-t, as long as it’s under this price point, f–k this, check it out and s–t. The only reason we have to do this is because Bought the hardware, kids. Thanks for that.”
