Kevin Feige’s decision to turn Mr. Fantastic into spaghetti was

Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) turns out to be the absolute villain Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, killing anyone who comes in his way. It consists of a group called The Illuminati, a version of the Avengers based on an alternate reality. She begins her rage by removing the mouth of Black Bolt (Anson Mount), leaving the Inhuman to grapple with his signature sound-based powers. Next was John Krasinski’s Reed Richards, which was stretched to death and the meat turned into spaghetti.

As it turns out, Richards’ gruesome death came straight from Kevin Feige. in a new interview with Before and afterIndustrial Light and Magic VFX supervisor Julian Foddy said the idea was relayed to a longtime Marvel Studios boss.

At one point, Wanda replaces Reed Richards (John Krasinski) in all these shredded, tight forms. The starting point was some reference that was passed on to us by Genek Siers straight from Kevin Feige,” Foddy told the website. “It was someone passing a lump of modeling clay or Play-Doh through a garlic press.” . Genek also had some reference to a Play-Doh ‘barbershop’ toy, which was a small figure with a hole in the head and you would twist a handle and the Play-Doh would come out. We were going for a similar look.”

While Foddy and his team tried to be as realistic as possible, they had to take some liberties to stay within the parameters established by Marvel Studios.

“Making it feel like organic material and getting the strings just the right amount of flex and balance, as they come, was quite a technical challenge,” the filmmaker said. “We’re deceitful, because if you actually cut a real human being like that, there would be a lot of flesh and blood. Of course, this is a Marvel movie and we don’t want to be too gruesome.”

on audio commentary for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessDirector Sam Raimi revealed that Feige also picked Krasinski for the role after years of fan speculation.

“It’s so funny that Kevin [Feige] cast john [Krasinski] Because the fans dreamed of who would be the perfect Reed Richards,” Raimi revealed. “And because it’s an alternate universe, I think Kevin said, ‘Let’s make that dream come true.’ Really enjoyed it.'”
