Controversial Netflix movie could knock Ryan Reynolds out of top 10 of all time

In the past ten days, a short feature film has taken Netflix audiences by a romantic-drama storm purple Heart, The politically themed feature, which combines a modern left versus right plot with a marriage of convenience trope, has garnered a massive amount of streaming on the platform. The film premiered in its first week with 48 million hours in the first week, jumped to 102 million hours in the second week, and has now added another 46 million hours in the third week. to date purple Heart Netflix has over 196 million hours of views. The movie isn’t even complete, and could very well make a good jump into the all-time Netflix Top 10.

With a total of over 196 million hours, after only 17 of its “first 28 days” window, purple Heart It is within walking distance of becoming one of the most watched movies of all time on Netflix. For comparison, the bottom four movies in the all-time top 10 on Netflix have pretty much the same number of movies. 6 Underground is currently at #10, with over 205 million hours streamed in its first month, followed by The Kissing Booth 2 with just over 209 million hours. Seventh and eighth place titles are very close, with The Irishman sitting at 214.57 million hours and The Unforgivable just north of 214.7 million.

Knowing how movie viewership works in the first four weeks on Netflix, purple Heart Will almost certainly jump into the top 10 this time next week; And when that happens it will kick off the Ryan Reynolds-starring 6 underground Totally out of the top 10. The fact that the film could jump as high as the all-time #7 status, though not seen by anyone, could very well be more popular than a Michael Bay or Martin Scorsese film, it Shows how big the movie is has been a success story for the streamer.

Considering Netflix’s recent financial difficulties, that a mid-budget film could challenge their $200 million blockbuster could very well affect their strategy going forward.
