Chris Pratt reveals he hates when people call him “Chris”, and what he likes to be called

A very wise man once said, “Everybody hates Chris.” Clearly, Guardians of the Galaxy Star Chris Pratt is no exception. In an interview on SiriusXM’s pop culture spotlight with jessica shaw, he revealed that in real life, no one calls him “Chris”, which may explain why his social media handle is prattprtprt. In a world where the Hollywood Chris cartel is one of the best things, does that officially make him the worst Chris? Or is he going to start another social media kerfuffle? Somehow, Pratt clearly doesn’t have much problem being “Chris Pratt, the movie star.” What he really means is that none of his friends and family use this name.

In a new podcast interview, he said he goes by “Pratt,” or his initials, “CP.” Apparently, it came to the fore in his personal life before being part of a recent interview, leading to a kind of funny exchange with a friend of his.

“Yeah. Pratt. CP. You know, CP. ‘Hey, CP.'” said Pratt pop culture spotlight (Via Entertainment Weekly) “But no one calls me Chris. My friend, Chad. I went to play golf with my friend, Chad, my pastor the other day and he was like, ‘No one calls you Chris? I’ll call you Chris. Okay, Chris. You are ready.’ And I was like, ‘No, that sounds weird. That’s not my name. Don’t call me Chris.'”

Pratt is currently acting Jurassic World Dominion, which has been a huge hit for Universal over the past few weeks. His next movie coming next week is Thor: Love and Thunderin which he will reprise his role as Star-Lord Guardians of the Galaxy Movies.

The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike any he has ever faced – the search for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic assassin known as Gore the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To counter the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magic hammer, Mjolnir. As Thor puts it. Together, they embark on a harsh cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of Lord Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
