The Kai OS version of the government coronavirus tracking app ‘Aarogya Setu’ has been launched. So now feature phone users will also be able to use it. Jio-phone runs on Kai OS operating system. So this new version will benefit 5 million Jio-phone users.
Until now this app was supported on Android and iOS devices. With the growing popularity of the app and making it mandatory to have an app on mobile, it has reached 10.19 crore users.
The app will also be launched for other models
According to Abhishek Singh, chairman and chief executive officer of the National e-Governance Chamber, the government is trying to keep everyone safe. The government wants all people with phones to have this app installed. It is currently being launched for one model of Jio-phone and will be launched soon for another model.
Jio-phone runs on the Kai OS version. It is different from Android and iOS. Jio-phone users have also been able to benefit from the Aarogya Setu app. However, no explanation has been given by Geo Company.
