Home Ministry issues unlock-3 guideline, approves further operations outside container zone
The Home Ministry today issued a new guideline, which allows for more operations in areas outside the containment zone. Unlock-3, which will take effect on August 1, 2020, has been given green light to resume operations in a phased process. The new guideline has been issued today. The decision has been taken on the basis of the views and opinions received from them after extensive discussions with the States and Union Territories as well as the Union Ministries and Departments.
Something special about this guideline
Restrictions on individual movement during the night curfew have been lifted.
Yoga institutes and gymnasiums will be allowed to open from August 5, 2020. The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in this regard will be issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The spread of Covid-19 must be controlled and social distance must be observed.
Independence Day events will be allowed to be held in compliance with social distance as well as other health-related protocols such as wearing a mask. In this regard, the instructions issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on July 21, 2020, have to be followed.
After extensive discussions with the States and Union Territories, it has been decided that schools, colleges, and coaching institutes will remain closed till August 31, 2020.
Passengers will be allowed international air travel only under limited conditions under the Vande Bharat Mission.
The following operations outside the containment zone have not yet been approved
- Metro Rail
- Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theaters, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls and other such places
- Social / Political / Sports / Entertainment / Educational / Cultural / Religious programs and programs in which large crowds gather.
- All these activities or operations will be decided separately based on the assessment of the situation.
