The TV network reached an agreement with Editorial Planeta Mexicana to acquire the rights to the singer’s unauthorized biography – written by Olga Wornat – which was published days before Fernández’s death on December 12.

Due to the family revelations that the journalist covers in the work, such as the experiences of Vicente Fernández Júnior during his kidnapping in 1998, the possible links of his second son Gerardo with drug trafficking and the animosity between the brothers, among other revelations became the story of not well received by the Fernández dynasty.

For this reason it is not yet known if the project carried out by Televisa has the approval of the family, one of the most influential in the world of Mexican entertainment.

The bulletin describes that it will be announced soon who will be the producer, the protagonist and the other cast of the project, but unofficially a magazine assured that Pablo Montero will be the one who plays Fernández and that producer Juan Osorio is directing the project will.

Montero maintained a very close relationship with the singer, sometimes even stating that he saw him as a father and that his musical influence was fundamental to his career.

The bioseries promoted by Televisa and Univisión will be the second production dedicated to the story of “Charro de Huentitán”.
