The Academy of Television of the United States announced its candidates for the 73rd edition of the Emmy Awards, whose awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 19 in face-to-face format, after holding a virtual ceremony last year for the coronavirus pandemic.

A few hours before the nominations were known, details of the ceremony were known. It will be with the public, there will be an attendance quota only for nominees and their companions, in addition to those who deliver the statuettes. The host will be Cedric the Entertainer, from the series The Neighborhood.

The executive producers of last year’s gala, Reginald Hudlin and Ian Stewart, will again handle this year’s ceremony, which will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us) and his daughter Jasmine Cephas Jones (Blindspotting), both past Emmy award winners, were in charge of announcing the nominees.
