Wendy Williams is slowly but surely getting back into New York City life, and the latest outing was the Met Gala after-party.
The 57-year-old talk show host had a star-studded affair at The Standard Hotel on Monday night, with Hollywood Unlocked CEO and founder Jason Lee as his date. She wore a colorful layered dress with matching sneakers, and a diamond-encrusted “W” pendant and necklace to complete the look. Lee Shine looked gorgeous in a tuxedo.
He also added several posts to celebrate the occasion on Instagram, with a video In which he looks at the camera and says, “I came to New York for the Met Gala but I’m not going to come out without the sexiest date in New York City.” Williams, wearing a rabbit ear headband, also makes a brief appearance and mug for the camera before asking her famous catchphrase, “How do you doin?”
The 12th annual shindig at The Standard was titled by Cardi B, featuring DJ sets from Kitty Ca$h and DJ Spinking. Anderson. Pak, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Donatella Versace, Jared Leto, La La Anthony and Marc Jacobs were just a few of the many in attendance.
The self-proclaimed “King of the Internet” also posted a picture on Tuesday and appeared throw some shade on the makers of The Wendy Williams Show With the caption, “How was @therealwendywilliamsonline out last night. Looks great. Looks great. Even told @tmz_tv she’s back on TV yet @wendyshow Didn’t even talk about it during today’s Hot Topics?” For good measure, Lee also tagged the show’s supervising producer, Norman Baker, and added in the caption, “Make sure the bureau does her right and mention it tomorrow or they should throw the whole damn show.”
Just last month, Williams was also out in NYC and talked about returning to TV. She and some of her friends enjoyed dinner at a fresco by Scotto, and an eyewitness told ET that in conversation Williams talked about returning to TV, back to work, and the ongoing financial battle with Wells Fargo. talked to.
