The singer-songwriter reveals to ET that her special guest appearance was Stewart's idea.

In this week’s episode it’s a family affair Star Trek: Picard, Patrick Stewart’s wife, Sunny Ozell, makes a guest appearance on the upcoming episode, which drops Thursday on Paramount+, and only ET exclusively has a first look and the inside story of how it all happened.

In the episode, Ozell plays a singer once in Alison Pill’s Agnes Juarti. The singer-songwriter performed one of her original songs from her 2020 album, nightfall, In guest place.

“My appearance on Patrick’s show as a bar-band vocalist was entirely his idea, and when he first proposed it to me, I must admit I was a little reluctant. I love that our professionals Lives don’t overlap, even though we’re both artists,’ Ozell told ET exclusively. “But when I found out that CBS Studios and the episode’s director, Joe Menendez, really wanted me to sing a song of mine sing own tunes to my most recent record, overnight lossI couldn’t resist the opportunity.”

“The venue itself was perfect – this downtown L.A. dive bar with a lot of character. The production team was concerned about my band and I wouldn’t ‘fit in’ on stage, but they knew very little of my band and I myself We’ve squeezed it into much smaller, dingier spaces over the years. We felt right at home!” she says. “It was incredible to spend a day on the set of a show like Star Trek: Picard, and to be a reminder of how many talented, hardworking people are needed to accomplish this. I am the ideal TV and film viewer; I get sucked in and believe everything I see. So, watching ‘behind the scenes’ and seeing everything behind the scenes was really eye-opening.”

To celebrate Ozell’s special cameo, she revealed that on the day the episode ends, there will be an intimate rendezvous so they can see the final product. “Patrick and I are having a small party this Thursday, and we’ve invited our band over to watch the ending moment,” Ozell shared. “I think it’s going to be a little surreal, but I’m so excited to see people see and hear my music this way.”
