Former “RHOC” star Vicki Gunvalson has cast a major shadow over her ex, Steve Lodge, after learning he was already engaged to another woman.
Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson does not seem to be too phased eg Steve lodgeengagement news. A few hours later PEOPLE revealed that Vicki’s ex-fiancé was engaged again – just three months after their split – she responded by throwing shade at him.
“He’s a goddamn celebrity and it’s about staying relevant,” Vicki said. Us weekly on January 3, shortly after hearing the news. She also said she was “in no rush to start dating” yet. “I went out with some friends, but I have no desire to do what he does. Marriage is a sacred thing.
Earlier today Steve, 63, said Us weekly that he plans to marry his new fiancee – Janis Carlson, 37 – in April. “We are completely head over heels in love and can’t wait to be husband and wife. Janis is a beautiful person, inside and out. He continued, “We have amazing chemistry, we are very compatible, emotionally connected and we respect each other. We are also attached and look forward to happiness.
He also said PEOPLE, “I asked Janis on December 20 if she would become Mrs. Steve Chavez Lodge, and she happily agreed. We will be getting married in April 2022. We are both very excited, incredibly happy, totally in love and looking forward to our life together.
Like RHOC fans should remember that Vicki and Steve went their separate ways in September 2021, after a two-year engagement. She claimed he cheated and he denied the accusation.
After Steve’s big reveal on January 3, Vicki’s former co-star Judge Tamra and Real housewives executive producer Andy cohen came to his defense. Andy said he hopes Vicki finds love in 2022. “If @vgunvalson doesn’t find a great guy this year, it won’t be a good year,” Andy, 53, tweeted Monday. “She deserves it. #FullLoveTankForVG.
Tamra, meanwhile, took to her Instagram story to say that the CEO of Coto Insurance “dodged the lodge.”
