Tina Knowles-Lawson teases what fans can expect Renaissance, ET talks to Beyoncé’s mom on the red carpet Holyrood Foundation2022’s DesignCare Gala, and the 68-year-old business woman raves about her daughter’s upcoming solo album — her first in six years.
“I’m a fan too. I’m very, very excited,” she said. “I just posted recently that I really miss her singing, and I do. I’m just as excited as everyone else. I can’t wait for you guys to hear it.”
“He put two years of love in it. Many, many nights [she spent] working all night,” she added Renaissancewhich ends on July 29. “I can’t wait for the world to hear it.”
Another member of the family, what is Tina proud of? Her 10-year-old granddaughter, Blue Ivy, is the eldest child of Beyoncé and JAY-Z. “She’s just blooming and turning into her mother,” Tina admired.
While Tina is eagerly waiting RenaissanceAfter the release of, she stepped out to support her longtime friend, Holly Robinson Pete, Holyrood Foundation2022 DesignCare Gala.
The charity provides medical, physical and emotional support to individuals with Parkinson’s disease, as well as families of children with autism. Much of their work is done at RJ Place, a facility that provides free access to families and individuals with Parkinson’s disease or autism.
“I have been a fan of Holi ever since 21 Jump Street, I didn’t know him then, but when I came to L.A… I was like, ‘I just want to meet him.’ I had heard about all of her work with autism, which is so important because so many people don’t have the resources and treatment is too expensive,” Tina said. “She’s very dedicated to getting the word out. ,
“Even personally, my friends have come here with autistic kids and she has connected them with all the organizations. She helped one of my godchildren get into college. This job is very important,” she said. “… I think it’s needed so badly. I’m a big fan of her. Personally, she’s like my little sister. We’re like family.”
