Timothée Chalamet to join the 2021 Met Gala, as a co-host, assured the Page Six portal.
According to the entertainment site, Chalamet will not be the only star, as the poet Amanda Gorman and Tom ford, fashion designer, will also host the long-awaited event.
Although the Met Gala is traditionally held on the first Monday in May, the event has been delayed to September 13, if sanitary conditions allow it.
This year’s celebration, said Page Six, will coincide with the Vogue dance and will be celebrated in two parts, the first: In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, which will open on September 18 and the second part with In America: An Anthology of Fashion, which will open on May 5, 2022.
The Met Gala, of which Timothée Chalamet will co-host in 2021, is a charity event that marks the start of the annual fashion show of the Dress Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The French-American actor, known for his role in the film Call Me By Your Name, has been recognized as an example of fashion, for the different looks he wears on the red carpets.
The event is known as The Oscars of Fashion, for its importance in the industry and is led by the CEO of Vogue, Anna Wintour.
This is one of the biggest parties in Manhattan, attended by celebrities, businessmen, models, designers and socialites.
From its social networks, the Met Gala reported that due to the pandemic, this year they expect a smaller red carpet than normal.
