While Betty White’s inimitable legacy will live on forever, a new documentary is set to honor the icon in a fresh, beautiful way. Betty White: A celebration Celebrates the star’s 100th birthday with new interviews filmed before White’s death on New Years Eve.

Made by production duo Steve Boettcher and Mike Trinkleinwill, the documentary takes viewers through the life and critically acclaimed acting career of White while offering a behind-the-scenes look at some of her most iconic sitcom roles. The documentary will also feature Betty White’s last interview before her untimely death.

Betty White: A celebration will premiere in cinemas across the country on January 17 (for one day only) and will include interviews with some of White’s most notable colleagues and Hollywood friends including: Ryan Reynolds, Morgan Freeman, Robert Redford, Tina Fey, Lin – Manuel Miranda, Carol Burnett, and Clint Eastwood, among many others.

For those who prefer to avoid the theater and choose to celebrate America’s darling at home, Disney has the perfect watch for you!

To honor White’s legacy (and well-known love for animals), Disney will release the National Geographic documentary special Betty White is going wild! on Disney + starting Friday January 14th.

The 2013 television movie shows White traveling to the Los Angeles and San Diego zoos, learning about behavioral traits of big cats, and how they can better protect their futures.

Betty White’s commitment to the protection and advocacy of animals has been well documented over the years. Despite their death, fans and activists have since launched their own social media challenge called the Betty White Challenge – an online January 17 event that encourages people to donate $ 5 to animal rescue or shelters on their behalf donate .
