‘The Wendy Williams Show’ returns with more guest presenters in 2022

Wendy Williams won't return to the talk show for another month, Jerry Springer and other stars to fill out

As Wendy Williams continues her path to better health, some of her best friends make up innkeepers, though The Wendy Williams Show returns in the new year with brand new episodes.

Executive producer David Perler announced the number of guest hosts scheduled for the month of January on Wednesday. Fat Joe and Remy Ma will share responsibilities in the first week of 2022. Comedian and actor Michael Rapaport, who has already done his part of guest moderation, is returning for a full week from January 10th to January 14th.

Comedians Kym Whitley and Finesse Mitchell will be guest co-hosts January 17-21, while Sherri Shepherd, another former guest host, rounds out the list. She will complete the January slate January 24-28.

Perler said in a statement that he was looking forward to new and exciting shows in 2022 Wendy Format with their individual personalities while ensuring that Wendy’s show remains consistent for the loyal ones Wendy Observer.”

Past restaurateurs have included Leah Remini, Whitney Cummings, Bill Bellamy, and Jerry Springer.

The announcement comes almost a month after Williams posted an update on her health status on social media while she was away from her own show.

The 57-year-old TV personality addressed her fans directly, saying she knew her health was a “hot topic”. She found that while she is making progress, “it’s just one of those things that is taking longer than we expected”. Williams added that she was “a woman of a certain age and I know enough to listen to my doctors”. She insists that she “will return to my purple chair as soon as we can all agree that I am ready”.

Williams, who does not have to moderate an episode in season 14, prevails despite several health problems. Her show revealed back in September that it tested positive for a groundbreaking case of COVID-19, forcing the season premiere to be postponed from September 20. It was eventually postponed a second time when innkeepers stood up for Williams.

Not long after that in October, the show announced that Williams was still struggling with health problems related to her Graves’ disease and thyroid disease.
