The British network BBC released the trailer for season 6 of Peaky Blinders. The series created by Steven Knight will return with new episodes that, judging by the preview, will be loaded with violence and mayhem. It is estimated that it will be seen on Netflix on February 22, although some speculate that, given expectations, it may be earlier.
The clip begins by showing Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) firing a gun in the middle of a field. The protagonist is also seen alone in a church. Next appears Arthur (Paul Anderson), wounded and with a message on his chest written in blood and mentioning the Shelbys. The clip also shows Michael (Finn Cole) on a boat and surrounded by some mob friends.
The preview makes it clear that Michael is totally disconnected from the Shelbys and the character appears attacking the gypsy camp.
And it is that the end of the Peaky Blinders is near. Or, at least, in serial format. The trailer for the sixth and final season of the series shows everything that is at stake in the next episodes: not only the future of the Shelby family, led by Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), but also that of Europe, which faces the threat of the nazis in the 30s.

Mobsters in trouble
These are dark times for the Birmingham band. As we saw in the season five finale, Tommy Shelby is on the verge of insanity, still dealing with the post-traumatic stress of war and the grief of the loss of his wife, to which we must add the headaches that he suffered. they generate the company’s business and his new activity as a parliamentarian in the House of Commons in London.
There he established a relationship with the fascist Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin), who will be key in the new season as the face of the Nazi movement that also seeks to gain a foothold in the United Kingdom.

It is said that the new episodes will bring more historical connections, where we have no doubt that there will be a lot of prominence for Tommy’s sister, Ada (Sophie Rundle), who has already made her clear leftist and revolutionary political leanings.
Who we should not lose sight of is the couple formed by Michael (Finn Cole) and Gina Gray (Ana Taylor-Joy, the actress of Lady’s gambit), which gave a lot of war in the fifth season.
The ambitious Gina wants Michael to take over the family company. When their generational handover proposal is unceremoniously rejected, Michael and Gina begin to develop a secret plan that could turn the Shelby businesses upside down. At the moment, we do not know what it is about.

A new character
In this new season a new character is incorporated, played by Stephen Graham, and whose mission in history is still a mystery. We see him in the trailer, and it seems to indicate that he will be more of an enemy to the Shelbys.
“I heard some men from Birmingham are looking for me,” he says in the trailer, and then we see Shelby pointing a gun at him.
We will also miss Helen McCrory, the 52-year-old actress, who died in April 2021 and who in the series played Aunt Polly, a very strong character for the Shelby brothers.

Season 6 will be the last for Peaky blindersAlthough that does not mean that the Shelby story ends there. As its creator revealed a while ago, it will all end with a movie.
“COVID-19 changed our plans, but I can say that my plan from the beginning was to finish Peaky … with a film, and that’s what will happen, “revealed the creator of the series, Steven Knight, in Deadline. There was a confirmed seventh season, but the pandemic changed the plans and now the fans have a sixth season and a movie ahead of them to dismiss the story.
