Terminator 2, Peacemakers and their Argentine Connection

Those who remember him as the antagonist of Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), The T-1000 robot made of liquid metal and its changed shape, Robert Patrick is sure to be surprised to see it Argentina Comic Con This weekend, in Costa Salguero. And not because of her appearance – she is one of the up-and-coming foreign celebrities – but because of how her physique changed.

Of course who saw it this year peacemakerchain of James Gunno derived from suicide squadLike John Cena’s character’s despicable father Oggy, they would recognize him immediately if they came across him while walking through Buenos Aires.

Tall, 1.82 m tall, he is plump and extremely sociable. The eldest of five brothers – one of them is Richard, the leader of the rock band Filters, who was the guitarist for Nine Inch Nails – Robert is 63 years old, married for 31 years and has two children.

In addition to the above productions, he participated in the last two seasons. X Files: Secret X Files and knew how to play a recurring role the Sopranos,

“You can be one of the biggest countries in the world right now,” he wondered at one point in the interview at Costa Salguero. Robert Patrick Will take place on the main stage – which is out this year – this Saturday the 21st at 6:00pm, and Sunday the 22nd at 2:30pm.

– How did playing the T-1000 in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” change your career?

Well, I am very lucky that I have got the T-1000 paper. And I was very lucky that James Cameron was looking for someone unknown to play that character. And I had a great agent, Darryl Marshak, who worked and worked with me, and who introduced me and described me as a combination of James Dean and David Bowie.

How did you get into "T2"? "My agent described me as a combination of James Dean and David Bowie," Robert told Clarins.

And when I look back on how I looked at the time, I’d say it was a pretty accurate description, and luckily it fit the look James was looking for. If you look at the casting choices James has a lot in common between the people he cast. Eddie Furlong and I have a lot in common. Linda (Hamilton) and Arnold (Schwarzenegger). It’s interesting, it’s interesting.

I know you took tremendous training for that film.

-Oh my god, it was so intense… You have to do physical preparation to get in shape to play T-1000. I trained with an Israeli Special Forces commando named Uzi Gal. He was super intense. We did everything from judo, arms training, to sprinting.

Robert Patrick underwent intense training for "T2". "We also developed the way to run and walk," he said.

How we ran… We developed our way of running and walking. But all the physical activity I did was really necessary to represent that character. And you had to believe that you could do all that you see me doing.

“Best ‘Terminator'”

-Have you seen other movies from the “Terminator” saga? What is your opinion?

-I feel terminator 2 This is the best in the entire franchise. terminator It was a great movie. It’s very creepy and has low budget aspects that you look at it and it has a kind of cheap production aura which I don’t think is replicated in T2, terminator 2 This is a very polished and well produced film. Obviously there are budget differences, but yes, the story is Good vs Evil, technology has outnumbered humanity, and humanity has to fight back using technology to fight technology. It was very interesting.

-Oggy, your character, the protagonist’s father, doesn’t end well in “The Peacemaker,” but is there any solid possibility you’ll return to the James Gunn series as the White Dragon?

-I feel so, like a ghost, without spoiling it for everyone. But the last shot in the last episode of the series shows you Peacemaker (John Cena) sitting on your front porch, drinking beer and relaxing. The story is over. And as the camera goes out, her father joins her and sits next to her. And you get the idea that his father still lives there.

At the same time, I tell him that “Maybe you could have killed me, but I’m not going anywhere. I still live on your mind.” Hmm… and that’s an indication of what to expect. And it really raises some possibilities for all kinds of situations where the father could show up and harass John in his lifetime.

There will be new adventures.

– New adventures, maybe…

“Peacemaker” is a very politically incorrect series, what was the funniest thing about being in it?

– of good peacemaker This is how I can play such a lowly person. And yet, we were really having fun inside that world. You’re talking about some very current issues that are very relevant, but we can approach them with a humorous point of view, which is why I voluntarily jumped into the series.

I mean, when you get to play a terrible, white supremacist guy who’s so full of hate, knowing we’re having fun with him too… that’s what really makes it interesting.

– What memories do you have of your time in “The X-Files, The Secret X-Files”?

John Doggett was one of my favorite characters, of all the people I’ve played in my career. I loved being the romantic lead. I loved working with Gillian (Anderson, Agent Dana Scully) and Annabeth (Gish, who played Monica Reyes), not necessarily in the same order, it could be the other way round, you know?

I really love it. That’s a lot of what I thought when I came to Hollywood. Or at least he hoped that he was going to be the good guy for once. At least once. I really didn’t know he was going to be a bad guy. Because you know, once you’re cast like that, you’re treated like that in Hollywood. And off you go, you stick to it.

But I am looking for more and more opportunities. And I can play, maybe, a tough guy, like I did Scorpion, I don’t know if you know Scorpion here in Argentina, but it was a show for CBS where I was a fat man with a heart of gold. I really enjoyed those characters.

-What did you know about Argentina before coming to Comic Con?

What I know about Argentina is tango, which has good coffee and great meat. I have a friend who is from Argentina. She is married to a friend of mine, actor Bobby Duvall (she is referring to Luciana Pedraza from Salta, who is married to the actor) Saint You Apocalypse Now), who is a big fan of Tango. I don’t want to tell where I am living but Bobby is a nice guy and his wife is a very nice lady.

I’ve enjoyed Argentina before, at her farm in Virginia outside Washington, DC, and hope to see her again soon. But your question was more about Argentina. And I really only knew what I told you. But I was fascinated, this is an interesting country.

And the more you hear about it, the more I know that Argentina once had a very large gross national product. It was at one time the seventh largest economy in the world. So from a political point of view, it’s impact on the world and it’s potential to grow and where it is politically and that’s all, it’s very, very intriguing, I think, for the rest of the world.

You can be one of the greatest nations in the world right now. So it’s exciting to be here and meet you all.
