Taylor Swift Performs “Champagne Problems” Live For The First Time To Celebrate Grammy Nomination

After “evermore” was nominated for Album of the Year, Taylor Swift celebrated how “thrilled” she was by sharing a video of her rendition of “Champagne Problems”.

“NO PROBLEM TODAY, JUST CHAMPAGNE” Taylor Swift published on Tuesday (23 November), hours after always was announced among the nominees for Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards. Taylor, 31, shared a video of herself in a gorgeous white wedding dress, sitting at the bottom of a spiral staircase. His collaborator and producer, Aaron Dessner, was at a nearby piano, and together they performed live “Champagne Problems”, the second song from always. “I wanted to share this video with you when @aarondessner and I were doing our fittings for the video, and there was a piano, so it happened,” she wrote.

“SO stoked evermore was honored like this. Congratulations to all of our nominated colleagues !! ” Taylor added. While always only landed album of the year, Taylor is actually competing against herself in that category. Because of Olivia rodrigo giving Taylor a write credit on Sour – Olivia interpolated “Cruel Summer” and “New Year’s Day” by Taylor on her songs “Deja Vu” and “1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back”, by Rolling stone – Swift could take the album of the year victory even though always loses to the newcomer.

Sour and always will compete with Jon batiste‘s We are, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga‘s Love for sale, Doja cat‘s Planet her, HER‘s Deep inside me, Justin bieber‘s Justice, Billie Eilish‘s Happier than ever, Lil Nas X‘s Montero, and Kanye west‘s Donda. The four main categories – Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist – have dropped from eight to ten nominees for the 64th annual Grammy Awards. That means Taylor has more competition if she’s going to get back-to-back album of the year wins, but if anyone has a good shot at it, it’s her.
