Sylvester Stallone returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Sylvester Stallone confirmed his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Will work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, according confirmed the actor himself on his official Instagram account.

The actor will reprise the role of Stakar Ogord, also called Starhawk, in the third installment of the intergalactic superhero franchise, which will be released in 2023. Sylvester Stallone had already played Starhawk in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, 2017.

What stallone said

In the Instagram post, Stallone writes: “For those interested in what goes on behind the scenes at the movies. There is only a very small part here. Face duplication.” The video shows a number of expensive-looking sensors.

According to the actor, these sensors show “what they do beforehand” to capture arrays of facial expressions of the actors in order to “duplicate them if they are not close.” Before ending the video, Stallone says that filmmaking is “a science”.

A second clip shows the team in action. Stallone stands still, striking a neutral pose, while a burst of camera flashes illuminate him for a few seconds.

Who is Stakar Ogord

It is a character with deeper than many from other superhero movies. This captain spent most of the second Guardians of the Galaxy movie at odds with Yondu (Michael Rooker). The latter ended up in exile for breaking the code and participating in the trafficking of children for EGO.

Stallone Was A Special Guest On Sophia And Her Sister Sistine'S Podcast Titled

Stallone was a special guest on Sophia and her sister Sistine’s podcast titled “Unwaxed with Sophia & Sistine Stallone.”

As one of the leaders of the Raiders, Stakar had Yondu under his command, but expelled him when he broke the code. When he learned that Yondu had sacrificed himself to save Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), he gave him a funeral in true Raider style, in a very emotional scene.

So Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 could continue one of the post-credits scenes of the second installment. Stakar Ogord was seen there alongside other Raiders, such as Aleta Ogord, Charlie-27, Martinex, Krugarr and Mainframe. Stallone’s character would ask them if they were willing to work as a team, like in the old days. And apparently they answered yes, so that will be seen now.

It was in 35th anniversary celebration of the film, which was actually fulfilled on November 27, 2020, but at that time theaters were closed due to the pandemic.

As if this were not enough, he also participated in a DC movie: no less than in Suicide squad, released last August, where he voiced King Shark.
