Stephen King Admits to ‘Walk Out’ While Watching First ‘Transformers’ Movie

On Monday, novelist Linwood Barkley took to Twitter to express his disappointment with the latest blockbuster extravaganza Jurassic World: Dominion, “Jurassic World Dominion has the distinction of being the first movie I’ve gotten out of over the years,” Barkley wrote.

In response, King tweeted, “I just dropped out of a movie as an adult: transformer, Would like to know what other movies people have seen.”

King — whose own solo directorial effort, 1986 max overdrivehas its own fair share of critics and detractors — confirmed that he was actually referring to the 2007 tentacle starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox.

When a fan asked, “Okay, Mr. King. You are my favorite author of all time. Joe transformer Was that the movie you went on? The 1986 cartoon film or one of the Michael Bay creations?” King simply replied, “Michael Bay. The first one.”

While the reactions to King’s tweet were indeed eclectic, there was no shortage of fans, pointing to the countless films adapted from King’s many tomes. However, often because fans felt the movies did a poor job of bringing the books to life.

“Then the dark tower, I’m sorry. I tried. But I love this work so much that I can accept it as a visual tribute.” Another wrote, “Last film I went on IT Chapter 2 Because for me, that director didn’t get the source material. One of my favorite books.”
