LOS ANGELES (EFE) .- “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” starring basketball star LeBron James, debuted as a leader at the US box office, grossing $31.6 million in its first weekend in theaters.
The remake of the Looney Tunes classic, which Michael Jordan released in 1996, surpassed the Marvel franchise’s “Black Widow” to become the best premiere in Canada and the United States last week with $80 million.
In its second week, the film starring Scarlett Johansson fell to second place and entered in at $26.3 million, earning the film over $60 million through its premiere on Disney+ (at a cost of $30). Most successful. Disney Factory title so far in 2021.
