‘Sort of’ creators tease ‘Season of Love’ in Season 2 first look (exclusive)

After debuting in 2021 to critical acclaim, like is back with a second season on HBO Max. Ahead of the 2022 debut, co-creators and co-showrunners Bilal Baig and Fab Filippo told ET that new episodes will be all about “love” as the Peabody-winning comedy continues to follow Sabi Mehboob (Beg). Navigating their non-binary identities and cultural expectations.

Baig and Filippo told ET, “After the incredibly loving response to our first season, we can’t wait to share with our audience the next chapter of Sabi’s journey and the evolution of all her characters. ”

“Season 2” like It’s the season of love. Friends love and family love and love your work and love of a place and romantic love. Lots of love,” says Baig. “Everyone is looking for pure and simple love, but love no matter how complicated it may be.”

In the upcoming season, Sabi is killed by the lovebugs as they decide that not only are they ready for some simple romance, but they also want everyone to love each other.

Unfortunately, his father’s unexpected return from Dubai, Paul Bauer (Grey Powell) and his children Violet and Henry Kaneko-Bauer (Kaya Kanashiro and Aidan Bedard) conflict with the release of Bessie Kaneko (Grace Lynn Kung) from rehab. The plans are complicated, as well as the issues in the bar book.

As a result, Sabi is faced with situations and relationships that are anything but simple.

Also adding to the chaos is story of maid Star Amanda Bruegel who joins this season as Gaia, an artworld Doyne and mother of 7Wayne (Amanda Cordner), who is known for ruining her child’s world. Additionally, Raymond Cham Jr (Big Jump) joins as the child of Danzie (Becca Blackwell) while Wolf Scott Thompson (children in the hall) will appear as a wealthy investor and potential business partner named Bryce.

Also returning for Season 2 is Elora Patnaik as Rafoe, Supinder Vrich as Aksa and Cassandra James as Olympia.
