Lino Patalano died this Saturday, at the age of 76. Yesterday at 8:00 p.m., family, friends and colleagues came to the Maipo Theater to say goodbye. On the morning of this Sunday, his remains were transferred to the Chacarita Cemetery.
Yesterday, after hearing the sad news, the Maipo Theater suspended the presentations this Saturday and opened its doors so that the entertainment world could fire Patalano. “Please do not send flowers and instead make a donation to the Casa del Teatro”they asked from the institution.

Patalano he had undergone a hip operation a week ago from which he had been recovering favorably. But on Saturday morning he suffered a breakdown.

“The surprise death of Lino Patalano deals a painful blow to the artistic community,” the tweet announced. “From this Theater House we will accompany his family, his friends and colleagues in these sad hours.”

Inextricably associated with the Maipo Theater and all its stories, Patalano was born in Italy in 1946 and arrived in Argentina with his family when he was just five years old.
