Shawn Mendes says he’s having ‘tough times’ on social media after Camila Cabello split

Shawn Mendes became completely outspoken in an open and honest conversation with his fans on Instagram on December 30, just weeks after his split from Camila Cabello.

Shawn mendes opened up about her relationship with social media in a video shared Dec. 30. In the nearly two-minute clip, which you can see below, the singer thanked fans for supporting his latest breakup song, “It’ll Be Okay,” but he refrained from doing so. say too much about why he struggles with social media. “I just wanted to make a little video and thank everyone who logged on to ‘It’s gonna be okay’ and posted videos,” said Shawn, 23, from his home in Toronto. “I’m having a little trouble with social media right now and just kind of a relationship with them. But I have a lot of people sending me videos and telling me what’s going on.

“When I make music, the ultimate goal is to sit there and let me reveal my own truth. And most of the time when I write songs, I usually use the music as a platform to be able to access a place inside of myself that I couldn’t walk through by just talking with people or Come to think of it, ”he said, before sharing his reaction to fans mourning the song. “And I hope it’s because there is some truth in the song and there is honesty in it. And I feel so proud of this song and I’m so grateful that you connect with it and I’m so grateful that people are vulnerable with it and people are just having fun with it.

“I just wanted to come here and show my love and appreciation,” he concluded. “I see you guys and I see how much love you give this song and give me and it means the world to me. So thank you, I love you guys.
