See cover art for Britney Spears and Elton John’s ‘Hold Me Closer’ — plus release date revealed

Britney Spears and Elton John are using flashback photos for their upcoming duet. On Friday, the singers unveiled the cover art for “Hold Me Closer,” the song they’re set to release on August 26.

The Secret Art features separate shots of Spears and John as children, including the pop princess in a pink dance dress as a little girl and the Rocket Man smiling as he shows off his piano skills at an early age.

News of the update on Spears and John’s 1972 track, “Tiny Dancer,” first came in July. At the time, ET learned that Spears had already recorded a duet with the famous singer.

After couple news, a tweet Spears resurfaced in 2015, with the singer simply writing, “Tiny Dancer #EltonAlways @elton Official.”

The duet would be Spears’ first single since 2016’s “Slumber Party.” It was on the set of that music video that Spears famously met her now-husband Sam Asghari. The single will also mark Spears’ first release since breaking free of her stereotypes in November 2021.

After hearing about the upcoming track, Spears’ friend, Paris Hilton, said it was “going to be iconic” during an interview with Paul Berewijk for her show, paul voor je neuss,

“hold me closer” Will release on 26 August.
