Sarah Michelle Gellar details ‘difficult’ COVID-19 recovery after asthma struggle

Sarah Michelle Gellar is giving fans an update after her recent COVID-19 diagnosis. The 45-year-old actress posted a note on her Instagram Stories on Monday, in which she shared that she is having a tough time with the virus.

“I realize I’m really cool over here. Two and a half years later I finally got COVID. Thankfully I was vaccinated and boosted,” she wrote. “But for those who say ‘this It’s just a winter’… Maybe it is for a few lucky ones. But for this (relatively) young fit person, who has struggled with asthma and lungs his whole life, this is not my experience. ,

Geller said she was following all proper protocols. Still, managing COVID has been tough.

“It has been tough even with the medical and all my protocols. I know I’m on my way to recovery, but it certainly hasn’t been an easy road. I’ll be back soon (hopefully with super antibodies… even if just for a while).

Before you end your note, vampire slayer The star shared a quote from a friend that explains how she’s feeling for her followers to put forward perspective. “To quote a friend of mine – ‘I’ll wear a mask in my shower if it means I don’t get it again.'”

Geller, who is married to Freddie Prinze Jr., did not share whether her husband or their two children, Charlotte, 12, and Rocky, 9, also tested positive.

Geller joins the list of celebrities and public figures who have shared their positive COVD-19 diagnosis with their fans and followers since the pandemic began in 2020.
