Ringo Starr will celebrate his 82nd birthday with songs and messages of peace & love from around the world

Tomorrow Thursday July 7th is Ringo Starr’s 82nd birthday. To celebrate, he put together a very special event with his wife Barbara Starkey, family and friends that revolves around his songs and his usual Peace & Love slogan.

Everyone will meet in Los Angeles for the birthday meeting, where at noon they will give the traditional exclamation of “Peace and love!”. But there will be something new: the International Space Station will amplify the message not only to the entire planet, but also to the Earth’s orbit and to the stars.

At 12 o’clock, Ringo will signal the Artemis Mission Control Center in Houston, Texas to broadcast his message and music to the International Space Station, which includes the theme song launch. Let’s Change The World and an instrumental section called star songsupposedly the music the stars made when he was born, according to Artemis.

The idea is that his message of peace and love passes through many countries on Earth and travels to distant stars.

The friends

Guests at the festivities include current members of his All Starrs Band including Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter, Colin Hay, Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonette, as well as friends like Benmont Tench, Jim Keltner, Richard Marx, Matt Sorum, Ed Begley Jr, Linda Perry, Diane Warren, Roy Jr and Alex Orbison.

As Ringo said on his Instagram account: “Peace and love at noon, any way you want is fine with me. It is so, brothers and sisters. It is so. Peace and love”.
