Mia Thornton wastes no time proving that she is Real housewives material in The real housewives of Potomac. The season 6 rookie fights back in what appears to be his first fight, facing Dr. Wendy Osefo. Mia and Wendy are sitting with Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, and Candiace Dillard, and the group briefs Candiace on what happened at Wendy’s “Nude Illusion” dinner, also known as her big plastic surgery reveal party where the things quickly heated up between Karen and Gizelle Bryant. .
“Ray said, ‘Gizelle, you’re a beautiful woman, but you know, that’s not going to last forever,’ and she said, ‘Well, you’ll be dead before that happens,’ or something like that,” Karen shares. referencing a fight yet to be seen between Gizelle and Karen’s husband.
“That’s not right,” Mia interjects, a comment that seems to rattle Wendy’s spider senses, as if she’s detecting some hypocrisy. “So you don’t think Gizelle has a good character anymore?” he asks, to which Mia replies, “It’s questionable. Are you really that kind of person? Like, okay, so you’re a pretty face.”
“But you also asked for her number after that,” Wendy notes, as the clip cuts to a flashback of Mia giving her number to Gizelle, Ashley, and Robyn Dixon after the incident Karen is explaining apparently played out for the women. Reading between the lines, it would seem that Mia originally sided with Gizelle in the story, or at least remained neutral.
“Well what I was trying to do was illuminate [sic] the air, which is something you should have done, because it was your home, “Mia responds, while Candiace, bewildered, tilts her head as she watches the verbal tennis match unfolding before her.
“I did it, honey,” Wendy responds. See it all here:
“Here was my thing: if my friend were in that situation, I would be giving her the benefit of the doubt more than the other person,” Ashley intervenes, and Wendy agrees that you do not accept immediately. the side of someone “you just met 10 seconds ago.”
“Why do you all have a problem when she doesn’t have a problem?” Mia asks, pointing at Karen.
“If you stop talking, you’ll understand and listen,” Wendy says to her new co-star, prompting a “Woo!” from Candiace and a request from Karen to be “nice here”.
“Okay, I’m done talking to her,” Mia says to the women, waving her hand in Wendy’s direction. “That was it for me.”
“No! So what you’re not going to do, especially since I don’t know you, is you’re not going to come for me, because we’re not coming for you,” says Wendy, with Mia denying that she would come for anyone.
“I’m not done,” Wendy adds, interrupting Mia. “Don’t do that … Don’t put your hand on my face.”
“Well, it’s in your face,” Mia replied, using a mocking tone. “What are you gonna do about it?”
Viewers will have to wait and see what Wendy does or doesn’t do about it, but while speaking to ET before last week’s season premiere, she hinted at friction between her and the new girl.
“I’d say I was definitely surprised by everyone in the group. I had a few moments where I said, okay …” Wendy joked. “Mia is different, and the reason I say that is because when you’re in a group of other women, you think we have someone who represents all personality types, but then Mia wins. Different. She brings something different to our group “.
The real housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8 pm ET / PT on Bravo.
