In ET’s exclusive sneak peek of this week’s new episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, the lawyer who became a FaceTimes TV host with a woman named Ashley, who he believes to be his half-sister. Ashley agreed to take a DNA test to see if she and Eboni share the same father, a man named Kenneth.

“I don’t even know how to act, because I’ve never seen you in the video!” Eboni exclaims once the call starts. “You’re beautiful … I’m tripping! I don’t know. This is, like, so crazy to me.”
“This is going to take a long time to come, this DNA test with Ashley,” he continues to share in an interview. “All my life, since I was 6 years old, you know, there have been rumors and suspicions. So in order to have fact-based evidence about who my family is, I can’t wait.”

“I appreciate you, Ashley, for being willing to take this trip with me,” Eboni tells her potential sister. “I realize that the small part of the family that I have is diminishing, and before it’s too late, Ashley, I want to do my best, at least the effort, to see if I have more family out there. You said Kenneth had passed away, that didn’t even dissuade me, because he’s still my family. “
What RHONY Viewers know that Eboni’s grandmother died shortly before filming this FaceTime call, leaving the 37-year-old with only one known living blood relative, her mother. However, reflecting on the recent death of her potential father, Kenneth, Eboni says the news didn’t really affect her.
“I thought it would break my heart for that, like, ‘Oh no! He passed away!’ It’s … it’s, I mean, there’s no shadow for him, it just doesn’t faze me because there’s still beyond, the family beyond, him, “he tells Ashley. It’s a sentiment Ashley agrees with, admitting that she wasn’t hurt when Kenneth died either.
When Eboni and her co-star Leah McSweeney sat down to interview for ET ahead of the season, Eboni talked about going all out and not holding back when it came to showing her authentic self and what was really unfolding in her life. on camera.
“It took a bit of conviction to really decide, to [do it]”He admitted to signing up for the program.” But also, if I was going to do this show, I was going to do it to the end. It wasn’t someone who was going to show up and say, ‘I don’t want to talk about this,’ like segments, or parts of my life, that just didn’t feel like the right way to do something like this. I just had to make a real commitment to myself, like, ‘Eboni, put it all there,’ and that’s what I did … and that was part of my growth. ”
