Within the framework of the NochesBA, the City of Buenos Aires will celebrate, this Saturday, July 30, starting at 8:00 p.m., La Noche de las Peñas. For the first time, 20 spaces will open their doors for free for residents and tourists to enjoy special programming dedicated to regional culture.
The 20 spaces were chosen after a call process that was open from July 4 to 11 and received financial support for the development of a special program for the Night of the Peñas.
At Café Vinilo you can see a concert by Hernan Robledo while in Luzuriaga Club Social there will be a folklore show by the El Cruce group, and in Folklorazo Queer there will be classes and a dance and live music show, among other events that are part of the program.
In addition, on Saturday at 5:00 p.m., there will be a preview of what will be La Noche de las Peñas within the framework of the Rural Exhibition with the presentation of a capsule of Los Pampas, a group made up of five young people from Buenos Aires. their interpretations gather the rhythms of the Pampas region along with sounds from different corners of the country.

Two couples from Flor de Ceibo, a ballet originally from Merlo (Buenos Aires), finalist of the Pre-Cosquín in the Folkloric Dance Ensemble category (representing CABA), and recreationists from the Esgrima Criolla group, formed in 2004, will also participate in the show.
“In each peña that is celebrated, we Argentines value the immense size and depth of our regional cultures. The folk clubs allow us to meet and enjoy a show that connects us with our roots. That is why it is a pride to be able to celebrate them in the City”, expressed the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodriguez Larreta.
Along the same lines, the Minister of Culture of the City, Henry Avogadro explained: “This initiative has the objective of support the cultural sector and integrate spaces dedicated to folklore with the public so that they form, based on this initiative of the Ministry of Culture, a circuit that is the basis of a cultural industry”.
“We want this Night of the Rocks to be projected from and to the provinces, thus also promoting access to culture,” he added. In this regard, the person in charge of Special Projects of the Vice-chief of the City, Veby Martínez, said: “The Night of Las Peñas is a perfect combination of a NocheBA: music, food and tradition in one place.”
