Prince William and Kate Middleton were a special guest with him during Day 14 of Wimbledon! On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined by their eldest son, Prince George, who made a surprise appearance at the royal box during the men’s final.
George, 8, wore a smart blue suit while sitting in the royal box next to his parents and watched defending champion Novak Djokovic take on Nick Kyrgios. Kate’s outfit was the perfect complement to her son’s look. The Duchess, who has been showing off her chic style during the annual sporting event, wore a black and white polka dot dress, which she paired with chic sunglasses. The Duke wore a light gray jacket and blue pants.
George, who is an avid sports fan, was full of emotion while taking on the intense match. At times, the young royal was seen talking to his mother and father as he questioned them about the match.
In a sweet moment, Kate, who is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, prompts her husband and son to visit their parents, Carol and Michael Middleton, who were seated a few rows apart.
The royal family sat in front of tennis legend Stan Smith, who at one point presented the Duchess with a baby version of his signature shoe that had his signature on it. The tennis great was also seen chatting with George.
Before arriving inside the stadium, Kate and George, 40, made their way around the venue. When the mother-son duo got out of the car, the Duchess introduced her son to the staff working inside the building. The pair eventually met William, who greeted them with a kiss, before they all took their seats inside the royal box.
George’s appearance at Wimbledon reminds royal audiences that when his father William made his debut in 1991 during the women’s final with his mother Princess Diana.
Before the appearance of the trio, Kate took part in the women’s finals. On Saturday, the Duchess wore a flashy yellow dress to the match.
Prince George’s latest outing comes after he and his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, stole some hilarious moments during the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations in June.
