Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning will host the 2022 CMA Awards! ABC and the Country Music Association announced Monday that singers and football supporters will come together on stage to lead a star-studded celebration of country music.
“It’s such a privilege to be part of a historic night that honors my teammates and country music,” Bryan said in a statement. “When I was asked if Peyton Manning was someone I would consider co-hosting with, I didn’t hesitate.”
“We’ve become great friends over the years, and what he brings to the table is going to make it explode even more,” Brian said.
Manning said he “can’t wait to go to Nashville and go on the CMA Awards stage” with Bryan. “I’m such a big fan of country music, so it’s an absolute honor to have the chance to stand out among so many incredibly talented artists,” the athlete said.
This is Brian’s second time hosting the CMA Awards after serving as Emmy at last year’s ceremony. This is Manning’s first time as host.
CMA CEO Sarah Trahern said of the upcoming event, “Country music’s biggest night will undoubtedly live up to its expectations this year. It was also announced that fans can expect the final nominations for this year’s CMA Awards in the coming weeks.
Country music’s biggest nightly broadcast airs live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 9 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
