The ex-Beatle tour began last night in downtown SpokanoE, Washington, which has been causing an uproar among attendees who have been eagerly waiting for McCartney and his musicians since the tour was announced a few months ago.

McCartney brought several generations together in his first concert with the tour and played 36 songs. Of course, many of the songs were from the Beatle era with John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

A day earlier, Paul kicked off the tour with a video clip in which he is seen arriving for rehearsals in a Corvette sports car. Shots of his signature bass then appear on the screen, all accompanied by the famous Beatles song, Move back, In the images, John Lennon is also seen with several shots in which they sang together decades ago.

The Spokane debut featured Paul singing a duet with Lennon on a video screen, as many artists have been doing over the past two years. make I got a feelingfrom documentary Move back, by Peter Jackson. “Let’s go out again”

“It’s so exciting. It’s the last days of rehearsals. And we’re about to go out again. We’re so excited to see those happy faces. We’ll try to bring them some peace, love and some joy in these days.” Paul says in the rehearsal video.

One of their musicians, drummer Abe Laboriel Jr., also commented on the return: “I can’t believe how much I missed it all. I thought a few months off would be nice but I didn’t expect us to. It will take two and a half years to be back on stage. I have really missed my family (musicians). I have missed all these people.”

How’s the tour going?

The itinerary covers 13 US cities and will end in East Rutherford, New Jersey on June 16, two days before the former Beatle’s 80th birthday.

Some details of the tour relate to the cities where McCartney will perform live for the first time, such as Hollywood (Florida), Knoxville (Tennessee) and Winston-Salem (North Carolina).

On the other hand, the performance in Fort Worth (Texas) would be the first in decades since the musicians were playing in that city with the Wings group with the Wings Over the World Tour in 1976, while in downtown Baltimore, it was the last time they stayed there with the Beatles in 1964. After 58 years his presentation will take place.

The arrival in Oakland, California will be the first in 20 years and there will be shows in other cities where McCartney recently performed, including Boston, Los Angeles, Orlando, Seattle and Syracuse.

The Got Back Tour is McCartney’s first tour since July 2019 before the pandemic and with his musicians from years ago: Paul “Wicks” Vicens (keyboards), Brian Ray (bass/guitar), Rusty Anderson (guitar) and Abe Laboriel Jr. (drum).

At the time it was a tour with 39 shows in about 12 countries, in which, as of now, McCartney reviews The Beatles classics everyone has come to expect from his time with Wings.
